Ian Muress, former chief executive of McLarens Toplis, will take over the running of the UK operations of loss adjuster Crawford & Co next August.

It is understood that he will be responsible for the company's property and casualty, and liability businesses.

He will replace Mike Reeves, who is expected to take over Crawford's global risks and technical services division.

Muress left outsourcing company Capita McLarens in August, just three months after Capita acquired McLarens Toplis for £33m.

It is understood that Crawford employees have been notified of the appointment.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
