’We have a well-established strategy and real momentum and remain focused on delivering for our customers and brokers,’ says chief executive
Aviva has reshuffled its UK commercial lines leadership team following the departure of David Martin.

Martin, who serves as managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, is leaving the insurer to become chief executive at PIB Group.
Aviva has decided that, following his departure, his responsibilities will be split into two roles – UK commercial managing director and chief distribution officer.
Michelle Taylor, currently broker distribution director, will take on the role of chief distribution officer, effective immediately.
She will be accountable for setting the strategy for the general insurance’s intermediated business and managing key broker and commercial partner relationships.
A UK commercial managing director will be confirmed in due course.
’Well-established strategy’
Both roles will report to Jason Storah, chief executive of UK and Ireland general insurance.

Storah said: “I’d like to thank Martin for his contributions and wish him well for the future.
“I’m delighted that Taylor is taking on the role of chief distribution officer. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of our business, our brokers and our partners.
“We have a strong leadership team across UK commercial, providing continuity as we recruit our new managing director. We have a well-established strategy and real momentum and remain focused on delivering for our customers and brokers.”
