’We are very hopeful that the schemes specialists directory will be a real asset,’ says director of schemes and delegated authorities

Axa Commercial has launched an online directory to help brokers navigate the schemes market when placing niche risks.

The directory provides access to partner schemes offering Axa-underwritten products spanning various non-standard trades and sectors.

To help brokers navigate this, the directory is split into six categories – these include specialty, contractors, liability, motor, property and combined.

Brokers can click on the sections to access information about schemes specific to each area.

Gary Head, director of schemes and delegated authorities at Axa Commercial, said: “As a business with a broad and loyal broker following, this simple concept of connecting the ‘weird and wonderful’ world of schemes with that distribution capability really is a genius idea.

“We are very hopeful that the schemes specialists directory will be a real asset to our fantastic broker partners, who are frequently presented with niche or non-standard risks to place.”

Time

Axa said it was making the move as it found that brokers were finding it ”challenging to find an appropriate scheme that fits the bill” for some specialist businesses.

It felt its new directory would reduce the time brokers spend searching for a fit for their niche.

“If we can make it easier for brokers to navigate our extensive portfolio of schemes, it improves the service we all provide to customers while opening up new opportunities to grow our partners businesses,” Head said.
