’Her arrival marks a significant step forward in our ambition to expand our distribution capabilities,’ says chief underwriting officer
Westfield Specialty International has named Sarah McNally as its new head of distribution, marking a key step in the insurer’s strategy to expand its broker engagement and strengthen cross-class collaboration.
Based in London, McNally will report directly to Jeremy Shallow, chief underwriting officer at Westfield Specialty International. She will lead the firm’s product distribution strategy, focusing on developing deeper relationships with brokers and identifying new channels for growth.
Shallow said McNally’s appointment represented an important milestone in the business’s long-term growth ambitions.
He said: “We are delighted to welcome McNally to the team at Westfield Specialty International. Her arrival marks a significant step forward in our ambition to expand our distribution capabilities and foster greater cross-class collaboration with our broker partners.
“Insurer – broker relationships work best when they move from transactional and fleeting to strategic and long term. A coordinated approach to distribution is crucial to successful broker engagement, and McNally’s appointment will ensure a more unified and impactful strategy across the business that works for our underwriters and broking partners alike.”
A new challenge
McNally joins from Zurich Insurance, where she has held several roles across business strategy and broker relationship management since 2014. She said she was drawn to Westfield Specialty International’s focus on innovation and growth.
