QBE has appointed Alistair Nappin as its new head of outward reinsurance for its international division.

Nappin will be responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s reinsurance strategy in the UK, Europe and Asia.
He joins early next year from Munich Re, where he is currently head of ceded reinsurance and chief underwriting officer of underwriting strategy for its global specialty insurance division.
’Deep experience’
In his new role, Nappin will be based in London and report to Stephanie Cryer, chief underwriting officer at QBE International.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
