’The strength of our counter fraud capability lies in the scale of specialist resources that support the whole group,’ says chief executive

QuestGates has launched a new offering designed to help insurance firms tackle fraud across personal and commercial lines claims.

The loss adjusting and claims services provider is bringing together fraud prevention, detection and management capabilities under a single service.

The offering combines data analytics and intelligence with specialist investigation, forensic accountancy, surveillance and legal expertise. It is aimed at insurers, MGAs, brokers and commercial clients.

According to QuestGates, the service can support fraud identification and investigation, litigation defence, policy coverage advice, fraud recoveries, sanctions compliance and private prosecutions.

It is supported by a team of more than 175 specialists, including counter fraud lawyers, loss adjusters, investigators, surveillance operatives, intelligence analysts and forensic accountants.

Greg Laker, chief executive at QuestGates, said the service draws on expertise from across the business to support clients facing an increasingly challenging fraud landscape.

He explained: “The strength of our counter fraud capability lies in the scale of specialist resources that support the whole group.

“That depth of expertise gives us the resilience and reach to respond effectively across every claim class and for every client.”

Fraud savings

QuestGates said it already works with 18 of the UK’s 20 largest personal lines motor insurers, while also supporting a range of commercial and property insurers.

The firm added that it delivered more than £40m in fraud-related savings for major UK property insurers during 2025 across household and commercial claims.

Peter Oakes, partner and head of counter fraud services at QuestGates, said fraud continued to put pressure on claims costs and insurers’ ability to settle genuine claims quickly.

He added: “By working with us, insurers are better placed to protect honest policyholders, pay genuine claims with speed and confidence, maintain control over costs and safeguard their reputation.”
