The new hire will oversee the firm’s proposition for customers across its insurance, banking and money service divisions

Retail banking organisation Tesco Bank has appointed Tracy Abraham as its new chief customer officer, effective from today (22 August 2022).

In her new role, which is still subject to regulatory approval, Abraham will have responsibility for developing Tesco Bank’s customer offering across its insurance, banking and money service propositions.

Reporting to Tesco Bank chief executive Gerry Mallon, Abraham will additionally join the company’s executive committee.

Abraham has 25 years of experience in senior marketing and communication roles, both within the financial services sector as well as other industries.

Prior to joining Tesco Bank, she was group marketing director at The AA.

During her career, she has also held chief marketing officer positions at Experian, CPP Group and Monzo.

Customer focus

Speaking on the appointment, Mallon said: “I’m pleased to welcome Tracy to Tesco Bank and look forward to working with her as part of our executive team.

“Her breadth of experience and customer focus will be invaluable as we develop our strategy of delivering products which closely align to the needs of Tesco customers.”

Tesco Bank fully acquired Tesco Underwriting in May 2021 after purchasing the 50.1% stake previously owned by insurer Ageas. This deal was originally announced in October 2020.
