Compromise will see ex-Benfield boss Coldman as chair

Omega’ compromise to its rebel shareholders, led by Invesco Perpetual's Neil Woodford, include former Benfield chairman John Coldman, as its new chairman, the Telegraph reports.

The board also accepts that Christopher Clarke, deputy chairman of the Competition Commission, can be replaced by James Bryce. But, it objects to the shareholder's choice of additional board members, which it argues would compromise the board's independence.
