Open GI has rolled out its Shops and Offices products on the Imarket platform.

The development has won the backing of Axa, which will implement a pilot with Open GI brokers.

The launch of Shops and Offices on Imarket follows Open GI's integration of Commercial Combined with Zurich Commercial. Norwich Union has also committed to Commercial Combined, while Allianz is developing a solution.

Open GI is also looking at rolling out the Tradesman product via Imarket.

Mark Ryder, commercial director at Open GI, commented: “Commercial lines functionality within the Open G I platform gives brokers maximum trading choice. Standardised risk proposals can be sent to insurers electronically via a number of channels (point to point electronic messaging, structured email and integrated fax) for a whole range of business lines*. Integration with Imarket significantly enhances our proposition for brokers by extending that connectivity.

“Back-office integration is where the real value lies as it avoids time consuming duplication of data. We are pleased to be in a position to launch Shops and Offices now that Commercial Combined is available and also that AXA is first to integrate as our brokers place a large volume of business with them.”

Peter Knowles, strategy and marketing director at Polaris, said: “There are now a number of integrated Shops and Offices products available via Imarket. We are pleased that a key software house like Open GI is soon to go live with Shops and Offices as they have such a large share of the Imarket user base.”

*Open GI's commercial electronic trading platform supports a wide range of business lines including Shops, Offices, Contractors, Property Owners and a range of specialist household products - many of these being electronically integrated.
