The FSA has approved QBE's acquisition of Greenhill Underwriting Group, it was announced today. The transaction was completed on 29 April.
UK underwriting agency Greenhill has offices in Paris, Düsseldorf and Madrid. The company wrote around €45m of gross premium during 2004, in property, professional indemnity and general liability lines.
QBE said the acquisition would strengthen its presence in the continental European insurance market.
