Royal & Sun Alliance (R&SA) is set to become the largest UK insurer to adopt Digilog's lie detection technology.

An R&SA spokeswoman confirmed this week that the insurer was "looking at Digilog with interest".

If the insurer does decide to use the technology, it would represent a major coup for Digilog with R&SA being the third largest UK insurer by gross written premium (£5.4bn).

Cornhill Direct confirmed this week that it is considering running a Digilog pilot on theft claims.

A Cornhill Direct spokeswoman said: "Cornhill is talking to Digilog about a possible pilot on motor and home theft claims. Discus-sions are ongoing."

Last week, it was announced that Lloyd's insurer Cox has begun running a pilot on its motor lines. The pilot is being outsourced to the investigation company Brownsword.

Admiral recently revealed results of the Digilog pilot it had been running on motor theft claims.
