No one really appreciates the plight of the modern mother until something happens to her. But now the UK's matriarchs have a champion in Pinnacle Insurance.
Pinnacle is underwriting a novel idea from family finance specialist Orton & Beaumont, dubbed MumsCover. If the worst should happen and dear old Ma has an accident or is taken ill and cannot carry out her domestic duties, the policy will cover the costs of a cleaner and childcare facilities.
It will provide upto "£750 a month towards housekeeping, child-minding and transport costs for up to six months".
But as the marketing blurb says "MumsCover cannot hope to replace a Mum" though Backchat feels quite a few angels of the hearth might be planning the odd slip and trip throughout the year.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
