So who's going to buy Aurora - the Indie run off company? Backchat hears that the original nine contenders have been whittled down to four. Meanwhile since Insurance Times' front page story last week there have been some new entrants. So the picture is a little unclear at the moment.

What is clear is that Capita is the preferred option at the moment with Rubicon closing on the rails. So how much will Aurora go for (something that all creditors will be interested in)? Well, according to insiders, rumours of £160m are wide of the mark. Who knows, maybe £100m is closer.

Meanwhile, consultants to Aurora are waiting anxiously to discover their fate. Many of Indie's consultants retained by Aurora had their rates improved. So the status quo suits them.
