While Sainsbury's changes one of its home insurance suppliers from Norwich Union (NU) to Halifax General Insurance Services, all is not lost for NU. It seems NU could be a beneficiary of Asda's forthcoming entry into the intermediary market.
Backchat has learnt that talks between the UK's third largest supermarket chain and Churchill has fallen flat and that the baton has been picked up by a number of players, including NU and Euclidian, which could provide travel and, er, caravan insurance through the stores.
