Standard and Poor's (S&P) is predicting a stable outlook for UK insurance company ratings, despite a recent fall in investment returns and signs of an economic downturn.
The ratings agency expects the insurance market to grow in line with the economy, with prospects for longer term growth in areas such as accident and healthcare. S&P said the market had benefited from significant rate improvements, more selective underwriting and reductions in capacity.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
