Last Wednesday a strange thing happened on the market. Two motor insurers, which admittedly share some history, saw their respective shareprices begin to dip and then keep falling over the week. Cox Insurance was steady at around 90p but by Tuesday was at 81.5p, while Highway was up around the 40p mark and dropped to around 38p by Monday rallying back to 38.5p on Tuesday.

According to analysts it was pure coincidence that both shareprices started to move on the same day. But could another deal be on the way?
