Lloyd's broker Thompson Heath & Bond has emerged as the frontrunner to buy Rarrigini & Rosso's book of fleet and property risks.

Rarrigini & Rosso, under the leadership of chief executive Julie Rodilosso, is understood to have invested up to £10m in the development of 24 7 Broking - an online broker back office system and quote engine, which was launched in a blaze of glory in 2000.

It is understood that Misys tabled a bid of £12.5m for the company, which includes a lucrative fleet and property portfolio, but that the offer was not followed up.

Software supplier SSP and super-broker Folgate Partnerships are also understood to have been interested in the company.

Thompson Heath & Bond was unable to comment. Meanwhile, Rarrigini & Rosso is understood to be laying staff off.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
