Towergate opens Manchester Fusion branch

Towergate’s commercial underwriting arm Fusion has opened its seventh UK trading office in Manchester.

The branch will be run by regional director Vicky Spence and initially have 10 staff. Seven of those staff are new recruits to Fusion.

Spence joined from Beaumonts Insurance Brokers, where she was group operations director. She previously held a number of sales and operations roles at RSA.

Fusion’s other offices are in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Lymington, Glasgow and Leeds.

Fusion chief executive David Bruce said: “Each insurance market and area has specific needs and we aim to service each of these with our network of empowered underwriters who can make client decisions straight away without the need to refer back to a central head office.

“Manchester and the North are important markets for us and we are certain that Vicky and her team will have made an impact from day one.”
