The Dial Direct Group is encouraging its staff to develop key skills within the insurance industry by providing various specialist in-house training programmes.

Up to 50 employees from the organisation, which includes motor insurance provider Dial Direct and motorcycle specialist Bennetts, can "train as they work" in areas such as information technology, administration and customer service.

They will spend a year studying for a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) and the Insurance Modern Apprenticeship (IMA).

The IMA allows staff to work towards further insurance qualifications, as it requires them to obtain the Chartered Insurance Institute's Insurance Foundation Certificate.

Dial Direct, which has approximately 500 staff and traditionally uses external training providers, said the schemes could be tailored to the needs of each employee.

Candidates will have access to internal resources and on-the-spot guidance and assessment from specialist in-house trainers will be available.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
