The Treasury has officially delayed its consultation on the European Mediation Directive until September.

The Directive hands over responsibility for insurance regulation from the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) to the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

The consultation had been due to begin in July.

The delay means that the FSA's consultation period will also be put back.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
