Norwich Union's departing intermediary business director Ken Wallace has been elected as CII vice president.
Wallace will have responsibility for developing the CII's international profile.
"I am looking at how the CII can work with the insurance industries in countries such as India, China and Singapore."
Wallace said the CII was looking at making its training and development materials available to other insurance industries. "We want them to look to the
CII rather than to other organisations."
Wallace said he was also considering non-executive roles, but had made no firm decisions yet. He retires from Norwich Union in September.
