Shareholders back change of domicile before the year ends

Willis shareholders today approved moving from Bermuda to Ireland.

It now goes before the Supreme Court of Bermuda on 18 December 2009 for approval but Willis expects to complete the move on or about the end of this year.

A new Irish public limited company, Willis Group Holdings plc, will replace Willis Group Holdings Limited as the ultimate public holding company of the Willis Group.

Willis also announced that its shareholders approved at the special meeting the creation of distributable reserves of Willis Group Holdings plc, which is expected to be approved by the Irish High Court within three to six weeks after completion of the reorganisation.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
