WNS Assistance, the motor claims management company, has launched a new initiative called B.O.S.S. - broker one-stop service - which the company said, is to be handled by a dedicated team of broker ‘champions'.

The team will service all business with WNS's existing broker customers, including Marsh, AON, Willis, JLT and HSBC, as well as looking to develop new relationships with provincial brokers throughout the country.

The move follows extensive research carried out by WNS, which showed that many brokers were dissatisfied with their existing claims management service and looking for a new partnership.

The new broker services team will consist of three on-the-road managers supported by a broker services coordinator at the head office in Ipswich and under the overall control of sales director Mark Pierce, who joined the company from GAB Robins in the summer.

Gavin Beale, formerly from FMG, will be based in Ipswich and service brokers throughout the South-East.

Colin Ralph will be based in Swindon and service brokers in Wales, the West Country, and north to Manchester. Ralph joined WNS from Infinite Group and previously had sales roles with LEX Vehicle Leasing, Zurich and AON.

Graham Shord, formerly from GAB Robins, will be based in Newcastle and service brokers in Scotland, the North-East and East of England.

Tim Rankin, WNS Assistance managing director, said: "Our research shows that most brokers are feeling decidedly unloved by their claims management partners. This coincides with a phase in our own growth where we have quadrupled the size of our engineers department to cope with a doubling in the number of claims handled and a predicted further doubling by the end of next year.

"Our ULR recovery performance is also currently running at around 75% recovered in less than 30 days, a level we consider compares extremely favourably with anyone in the market.

"In view of the fact that we have many years experience of dealing with the leading national broker groups, as well as with many provincial brokers, and that most of our competitors seem to be on the point of abandoning the broker market altogether, we felt that the time was right to make a major investment to consolidate our position with our existing broker customers while also looking to forge new relationships."

The company said brokers are also being offered uninsured loss recovery under the WNS B.O.S.S. initiative.
