Zurich UK Commercial has launched a 24-hour telephone claims service today to handle commercial claims which it hopes will substantially speed up processing.

As the new system is 24-hour it will enable customers, brokers and third parties to contact Zurich immediately when an incident occurs.

Claims director Jeff McMahon commented: "The new telephone based system will help reduce administration and form filling which can often slow down the claims process.

"It will also enable us to offer customers an instant response, for example arranging for immediate repairs or replacement vehicles."
