Specialist motor insurer 1st Central is to open a new Manchester-based office as it looks to expand its claims and frauds team.
Based in the Salford Quays area, the office will home its Counter Fraud Services (CFS) as well as its Claims Handling teams.
The development, which will also bring 150 jobs to the area, marks significant growth for the broker as it adds to its Haywards Heath head office and Glasgow based call centre.
1st Central’s UK chief executive Andy James said: “Manchester is a vibrant and growing city and we are excited to expand our business there. We hope that in expanding into Manchester we encourage the next generation of talent to start a career in insurance.”
The broker already employs a number of apprentices, and James believes moving to Manchester will help to attract a fresh demographic of talent to the business.
