Biba is in strong position to represent members’ interests, says Galbraith

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) says it will be "watching carefully" over the next few days to see which Government is formed after it was confirmed that the general election will result in a hung Parliament.

Biba said it will be looking closely at the details of the policies and individual appointments relevant to it members and the wider industry.

Biba chief executive Eric Galbraith said: "Big challenges and opportunities to the political landscape are happening and Biba will be working hard to establish relations with those who become important stakeholders to insurance brokers and Biba’s manifesto issues.

"We began the ground work for this a long time ago by meeting shadow government teams and prospective parliamentary candidates to ensure that going forward we are in a strong position to represent members’ interests.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
