More Than has appointed RIAS boss Janet Connor as its new managing director.
Connor will head up the day to day running of the motor, home, pet, life and travel insurane business.
Connor was managing director of the Ageas-owned over 50s broker RIAS and also part of the insurer's executive team.
She will report to personal lines managing director Mark Christer from January 2012.
Christer said: “As an insurer, providing an excellent level of service and being there for our customers when they need us most is absolutely critical to our business. Janet brings with her a wealth of experience and focus on customers, products and service.
“She will be a great addition to the team and continue to drive the business forward, taking More Than to the next stage of its journey, after a successful first decade.”
Connor said: “I’m delighted to be joining More Than. It’s a great brand, with a unique position in the market and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build upon the great work they’ve done so far.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
