New managing director of Camberford Law, David Ottewill has confirmed a mangement buy-out of Camberford Law by himself and fellow directors Paul Cooper and Simon Carter.

Following the move, Lord Richard Sheikh, who founded the company forty years ago, will remain as chairman. Sheikh has said: “We pride ourselves on our innovative attitude, expertise, and the ability to provide a first class service and we decided to have the MBO in order that the existing ethos and culture is continued.”

Ottewill added: “We are grateful to all the support we receive from over 1800 intermediaries which utilise our various schemes and we will move forward from strength to strength.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
