Police charge six people connected to Lancashire scam

Six people have been charged in connection with an investigation into a 'cash for crash' insurance scam in Lancashire, the BBC reports.

The five men and one woman, who are all from Blackburn, were arrested in March 2010, according to Police.

All six have now been charged with fraud by false representation and are due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates' Court on 4 February.

'Cash for crash' scams involve staging accidents to claim on other drivers' insurance.
