Management: “Solid” was how chief executive Marshall King described RFIB’s results in November, which reported that brokerage was 15% up for the year ended 30 June 2010 compared with 2008/09. Operating profit increased 17% to £3.5m from £3m.

Strategy: RFIB, which offers businesses cover for everything from kidnap and ransom to marine claims, recently recruited Richard McFarlane from Glencairn to run a new unit aimed at increasing global property and construction business.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
