Management: Bolshy chief executive Joe Henderson insists the acquisitive firm is “honest” rather than “aggressive”, as some have branded it.

Strategy: Henderson is in the market for a merger. Having maintained its position in the top 50 after entering the rankings last year, it now generates annual revenue of more than £20m and employs 320 staff in 11 UK offices.
