Appointment marks a return for Draper who was previously employed by Chubb between 2002 and 2004

Chubb Insurance has appointed Dave Draper, who was a former employee, as its UK and Ireland casualty manager.

In his new role, Draper will oversee the long-term vision, underwriting strategy and technical support for the UK and Ireland casualty business.

Draper joins Chubb from QBE Insurance (Europe) where he spent the last 10 years in a number of senior management positions; most recently as the director of client management for property, casualty and motor.

Chubb UK and Ireland commercial manager Andy Francis said: “We are delighted to have found someone with Dave Draper’s experience and knowledge to aid the development of our casualty business and engage with our key client and broker stakeholders.

“We believe there is significant opportunity to expand our casualty book in the UK and Ireland and are very confident that Dave will drive our future profitable growth in this key business line.”

Draper previously worked at Chubb from 2002 until 2004 as a senior casualty underwriter in London.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
