Lloyd’s insurer has backing of Aon founder Pat Ryan’s US broking start-up
Lloyd’s insurer Jubilee’s chief executive Johnny Rowell says acquisitions are on the radar.
In an exclusive interview with Insurance Times, Rowell revealed the specialist Lloyd’s underwriter is targeting niche managing general agency businesses in the UK.
“An acquisition for us needs to have a good strategic fit and needs to fit within one of our five franchise areas,” he said. “It’s mostly likely to be an MGA that’s a direct bolt into the syndicate.”
Rowell also spoke in detail about the insurer’s strategy for growth since it was taken over by Ryan Specialty Group in 2011, the US-based start-up created by Aon founder Pat Ryan.
