Countrywide now a membership tier rather than a separate brand

Towergate has branded its whole network division Broker Network and reduced its membership tiers to three from seven.

The changes come into effect from 30 September.

The network division previously comprised two brands, Broker Network and Countrywide. However, the entire network will now be known just as Broker Network, with Countrywide becoming one of the three membership tiers.

The three new tiers are Premier, Advantage and Countrywide.

Towergate described Premier as “the ultimate partnership package”. Advantage is the mid-tier option, while the third tier has been branded Countrywide in recognition of that network’s strength as a product club.

The company said members at all three levels will see enhancements to their membership over the course of this year’s fourth quarter and into 2014.

The enhancements are focused on growth, protection and support, Towergate said, which are all central to membership requirements.

Broker Network chief executive Gary Duggan said: “Over the past seven months we have conducted extensive research and see this as more than just a name change or a rebrand.

“It’s another milestone in our 19-year history and an opportunity to build on our position as the Broker Network of choice for independent brokers; one that’s been developed by members, for members.

“We’ve refined and honed our services in response to brokers’ needs and the changing regulatory environment and believe we’ve navigated a route to success by offering our members growth, protection and support.”

Towergate chief executive Mark Hodges added: “Broker Network is an integral part of the Towergate Group and we are committed to its development. I am confident that the Network will continue to grow and am supportive of Gary and the team as they begin this new chapter.”
