Executive to announce his new job in the coming weeks
Towergate sales and service chief executive Simon Trott has resigned from the broker.
He handed in his resignation in September, before Towergate announced the restructure of its retail division, and started his gardening leave this week.
Trott told Insurance Times: “I have had 10 fantastic years at the group, working with some great people and growing Towergate’s specialist insurance division known internally as sales and service. I will miss the team, and especially the staff who show great passion in looking after our customers.”
Trott said he would announce his new position in the coming weeks.
“I am really excited about my new opportunity. The organisation culturally is a great fit, with a strong core platform and an appetite to invest in growth.”
A Towergate spokeswoman said: “Simon is exploring opportunities outside the Towergate Group.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
