New appointment to manage growth of 40 regional broking businesses
Towergate has appointed Mike Lawton as chief executive of its broking division.
Lawton joins from RSA, where he was director of the insurer’s UK mid-market division since January 2009.
In his new role, Lawton will manage the growth plans for more than 40 of Towergate’s regional broking businesses across the UK, through organic growth and acquisitions.
Towergate retail division chief executive Michael Rea said: “I am delighted to welcome Mike into the retail division where he is ideally suited to take advantage of the opportunities that exist across our UK network of businesses.
Lawton said: “The chance to join Towergate was too good an opportunity to pass by, knowing as I do that they remain committed to regional broking whilst retaining the foresight and flexibility to adapt to a changing marketplace.”
