Network has appointed David Gayton from PowerPlace
1 Answer Network has expanded its commercial operations with the appointment of David Gayton to the newly created position of head of commercial.
In his new role, Gayton will be developing members’ commercial lines business and future company strategies.
Gayton joins 1 Answer from rival PowerPlace, part of the Towergate group, where he held the position of head of trading and corporate partners.
1 Answer director Trevor Cutts said: “While 1 Answer is still very focused on personal lines, we are keen to strengthen our commercial offering and have strong growth plans in place for the next few years.”
“Today’s market requires brokers to offer a full solution. We have around £40m of gross written premium that is commercial business, and we want to provide an enhanced solution giving high street brokers the edge on rate and commission,” Cutts added.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
