Company history:
The group was formed in 1959 and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1985. It provides direct insurance, employee benefits and personal financial advice to corporate and high-net-worth customers.It has a 12-strong UK branch network. The Bradstock Group's main strength is in the medium-sized company market.
In recent years the group has acquired a number of specialist brokers, including professional indemnity brokers.
These include Bradstock Hamilton, a leading bloodstock insurance broker; Insurex Exposure, a broker specialising in insurance cover for conferences; Jensen Dickens, a leading marine transit broker, and Hayward Till & Co, a warranty insurance broker.
From an initial presence in aviation, marine and non-marine risks in the London market, the reinsurance and international wholesale group has diversified its presence into North American clients and into other lines.
In October 1995, the group formed a joint venture with Hong Leong Group, one of Malaysia's largest companies.
Bradstock's associate company is one of the most profitable insurance brokers in the Far East.
