Biography:
Michael Hall took over as managing director of Standard Life Healthcare (then Prime Health) on October 1 1998, following the retirement of Peter Dalby who started the company ten years previously. As assistant managing director, Hall joined from HCI International Medical Centre where he held the position of chief executive officer and was previously a director of Bupa hospitals. This followed managerial positions within Bupa hospitals from 1988.

Beside his experience in the private sector, Hall worked in the NHS from 1976 to 1988 for Sunderland and Birmingham Health Authorities
