Announcement reflects 'confidence' in trade credit market.

The ABI has welcome Business Secretary, Lord Mandelson's announcement that the government is looking at a scheme to increase the availability of trade credit insurance to business.

Nick Starling, the ABI’s director of general insurance and health, said: “The ABI has been working closely with the Government to find a solution to the lack of credit availability in current market conditions. This announcement reflects the confidence Government has in the trade credit insurance market. We look forward to taking part in further detailed discussions.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
