Aon's renewable energy team expands with new hire

Aon has appointed Bruce Grant as a senior broker in its renewable energy team.

Grant joins from Marsh where he managed the renewable energy team and designed and placed major offshore wind policies.

Grant said said: “I look forward to playing a part in consolidating Aon’s position as the leading broker in the offshore wind sector and helping to grow Aon’s position with regard to the rest of the renewables market”.

New area director and crisis management CCO

Meanwhile, Aon Risk Solutions has appointed Craig Preston, currently chief commercial officer (CCO) of Aon’s crisis management business, as area director responsible for Aon Corporate’s Reading and Southampton offices.

John Harris, currently executive director with regional responsibilities for ACM UK and Ireland, will be taking over as Global CCO of crisis management.

Jim Herbert, managing director of Aon Corporate said: “I am delighted that Craig is joining us, and that we have been able to fill this key position from within Aon’s existing talent.

"Craig’s diverse experience in developing and leading high performing teams will be invaluable as we focus on continuing to delight our clients and grow the business.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
