Jérôme Droesch takes up new role at AXA

AXA Group has appointed Jérôme Droesch as chief executive for the Gulf region.

Droesch was previously regional chief executive for the southwest region of AXA France. He replaces Jean-Louis Laurent Josi, appointed chief executive of AXA Japan.

Droesch will report to Jean-Laurent Granier, chief executive of the Mediterranean and Latin America region, and will be in charge of the insurance activities of AXA in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.

Jean-Laurent Granier, chief executive of the Mediterranean and Latin America region, said: “ I am convinced that his great knowledge of the insurance business lines and his people and managerial qualities will serve Jérôme to pursue and strengthen the dynamic growth in this region with the support of AXA Gulf’s teams."

This appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
