New management structure and new business hires

AXA has restructured its Manchester branch by creating distinct teams for new business, renewals and technical queries.

The restructure was devised by Anne Harrison, who was appointed branch manager in September.

The new management team has been created from internal appointments. Michael Yabantu has been appointed sales manager, responsible for growth and relationship development across the North West. Chantelle Peers is operations manager, looking after customer service and efficiencies, and Cath Sayers has been appointed new business team leader. Rachel Lyons has been tasked with managing AXA’s national Willis Network account, which is handled in Manchester, while Paul Mundy will continue in his role as branch underwriting manager.

AXA has also appointed four new business executives, a move it said placed a greater focus on trading with brokers at the branch. They are Emma Brooks, Lauren Hamer, Lovepreet Sahota and Bhavisha Tailor.

Harrison said: “I’m really excited by these changes and as they were made following extensive consultation with our local brokers, I am confident that we have everything in place to deliver the service and products that both they and their customers need.

“Manchester is a dynamic market with huge potential and we are now well placed to capitalise on the business opportunities and make the most of dealing with our customers.”

Managing director of commercial intermediary Matthew Reed added: “We have made some great strides in the turnaround job at AXA, particularly in our regional operations, but we know we cannot stand still and must continue to respond to the evolving needs of our brokers, and these changes in Manchester are a great example of that.”
