Tolle and Cox join PLC board

Lloyd's insurer Beazley has named Rolf Tolle a non-executive director and Adrian Cox as an executive director.

Tolle has also been appointed to the insurer's audit committee.

Tolle joined the board of Beazley's Lloyd's managing agency, Beazley Furlonge, as a non-executive director in June this year.

He retired as franchise performance director at Lloyd's in December 2009 after seven years in the role, and was previously chief underwriting officer at Faraday Group.

Cox joined Beazley in 2001 and was appointed to the board of Beazley Furlonge and head of the specialty lines division in June 2008.

In addition, Ken Sroka, who was named a non-executive director in November, has been appointed to Beazley's remuneration committee.

"I am delighted to welcome both Rolf and Adrian to the Board of Beazley plc," said Beazley chairman Jonathan Agnew in a statement.

"Rolf brings long underwriting experience and deep knowledge of the global insurance market. Adrian is head of Beazley's largest division and his extensive knowledge will further strengthen the board."
