Airmic has all the big insurers onboard for guide
A best practice guide for claims handling, with all the big insurers onboard, has been launched by the Association of Insurance and Risk Mangers (Airmic).
Insurers will now report back to Airmic on how they measure up to the guide. ACE, AIG, AXA, RSA, Zurich and XL have all agreed to take part.
The guide author, Airmic technical director Paul Hopkin said: “The guide is intended for use by experienced professionals. It points to the awkward questions that buyers should ask and the kind of responses and evidence that they have a right to receive.”
Airmic aims for the document to have two main functions – as a tool for insurance buyers, and as a reference point for insurers.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
