Review follows association’s merger with the IIB

Accounting and advisory firm Deloitte has been appointed to conduct a strategic review of Biba.

The review follows the association’s merger with the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) and a full membership survey. Deloitte said the review will allow Biba to take a strategic view of what a modern trade body should look like.

“Deloitte is uniquely well qualified to support Biba, having represented many brokers on regulatory issues and through working on many of the transactions in the broking sector,” Deloitte insurance partner Ian Clark said in a statement.

“The insurance industry is going through a period of unprecedented change, yet the role of the broker in the value chain remains as critical as ever. The Deloitte review will ensure Biba is well placed to help the industry meet these challenges.”
