Manchester broker upgrades back office system

Manchester-based Bridge Insurance Brokers has upgraded its back office system to Acturis.

Over eighty members of staff across all departments have now moved over to the Acturis system.

Mike Backner, director of Bridge, said: “We carried out a full evaluation of the marketplace, Acturis stood out as the only provider that understood our business and could assist us in our short and long term goals."

Scott Fosberry, chief information officer for Bridge, added: “We have worked closely with Acturis and the transition has been very smooth, we have been amazed at the amount of information that has been transferred from our old system on to Acturis”.

Jason Battersby, business development manager of Acturis, said: “Bridge Insurance is a quality broker and we are delighted that they have chosen Acturis. We look forward to working with the Bridge team moving forward.”

Earlier this month, another Manchester broker, CBG, moved its SME business on to the Acturis Broker Platform.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
