Founder will retire but staff assured of continuity

CCV has acquired Paul Scully Insurance Brokers for an undisclosed sum.

The consolidator, whose major shareholder is Towergate chairman Peter Cullum, snapped up the East Sussex broker last week – its second acquisition this year.

Paul Scully, which specialises in personal lines, will retain its brand and premises, and become affiliated to neighbouring CCV business, Crawford Davis.

Business founder Paul Scully will retire, while Dominic Taylor stays on to run the business alongside Crawford Davis managing director Joe Simmons and his staff.

CCV chief executive Michael Rea said: “We consider each deal on its merits and … are happy to facilitate the differing requirements of the two principals while assuring the staff and clients of continuity.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
