Kate Roy replaces Russell Crimp

Chartis Insurance UK has appointed Kate Roy as head of UK operations.

She replaces Russell Crimp, who was recently named director of operations for northern Europe.

Roy will be based in London and will report to chief administrative officer Patrick Corbett.

“Our ambition is to become the insurance provider of choice built on a culture of customer service. Kate has a proven track record in leading complex operational functions and delivering transformational service improvements that will help us to reach that goal,” Corbett said in a statement.

Roy previously worked at Capita Services where, over the last seven years, she held a number of senior roles including working in partnership with broker Marsh UK as well as being managing director of Capita’s London market business. Previously she held senior operational roles within Aon Risk Services.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
