Aria to bolster Collinson’s insurance arm
The Collinson Group is set to buy Aria Assistance.
Aria provides assistance for motor breakdowns, travel insurance, home emergency, health insurance and private medical insurance. It underwrites more than £50m gross written premium, and handles more than a quarter of a million claims and assistance cases every year.
Collinson will add Aria to its insurance division. Collinson Group director David Evans said: “We look forward to adding Aria Assistance and Aria International Health Solutions to our group as it completes a vital part of the jigsaw and significantly boosts our assistance capabilities.
“The completion of this acquisition will deliver one of the most compelling product offerings of any organisation within the customer management and packaged accounts market.”
Aria chief executive Patrick Leroy said: “We are delighted to be joining a group that shares our ethos of service and innovation, and look forward to taking advantage of the new opportunities that will emerge.”
Aria has offices in Haywards Heath and Navan in the Republic of Ireland.
